DEDICATION
I dedicate this page to Corrie ten Boom who has been one of the most influential people in my life. I have deep respect, awe and love for her personally, her love for Jesus and her ministry. She is an incredible inspiration to me in my walk with Christ and for my life.
I would like to give some links to her books, writings and some of her sermons as encouragement and inspiration for you. May Corrie's words help you to grow deeply grounded in Jesus.
In Christ,
Sandra Rooney
In the house in the Barteljorisstraat 19 in Haarlem where the watchmaker Casper ten Boom (1859-1944) lived with his two daughters Jews and persecuted people were hidden during World War II. A secret room was built to hide those sought by the Nazis. On February 28, 1944 the family was betrayed and the Gestapo searched the house thoroughly but could not find those in the hiding place.
For three days four Jews and two members of the resistance remained in hiding. The Ten Boom family was arrested and taken to prison camps. The father died in prison three months later. Both daughters were brought to the concentration camp at Ravensbrück. Betsi died there in 1944. Corrie survived the camp and was freed as a result of an clerical error.
After the war she actively helped the victims of the Nazi regime and preached in 64 countries including Germany about forgiveness and peace. Corrie ten Boom died at the age of 91 in California.
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the
faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
